Speakers:
◦ Joan Marter, PhD, is a professor emerita at Rutgers University, where she taught from 1977 to 2016. Since 2006 Marter has co-edited the Woman’s Art Journal, a forum for feminist approaches to women artists from various art historical periods. Marter has curated many exhibitions, and has written and edited numerous books and articles focusing on American women artists, including Women of Abstract Expressionism (Yale University Press, 2016), the book for the Denver Art Museum’s traveling exhibition of the same name. She has a BA in Visual Arts and Art History (Tyler School of Art, Temple University), and an MA and PhD in Art History (University of Delaware).

◦ Jennifer Uhrhane is the co-curator of the exhibition (with Robert Yahner of the NAC) and Consultant to the Libbie Mark Provincetown Fund. For almost 20 years Uhrhane has held curatorial and registrarial positions in museums and corporate art collections, as well as independent consultancies with private art collectors, artists, and artists’ families regarding art documentation, collections care, and estate planning. She has a BFA in photography (Rhode Island School of Design), a Certificate in Museum Studies and Administration (Tufts University), and an MA in Art History (Boston University).
